Second year Fashion Design:
Two-piece final look
An ode to the stillness of the bedroom. The blurry moments between dreaming and waking, when time seems to pause. This piece blends the codes of the classic tailored jacket; its collar, piped pockets, shoulder pads, suit sleeves, and side panels, with the comfort of a beloved duvet; the suit is entirely stuffed.
The hood is a nod to Ole Lukoje, the Sandman from a favourite childhood bedtime story, who sprinkles sleep-dust and leads children into magical dreams.
It’s paired with Bermuda shorts featuring an oversized pocket that serves as the shorts' entryway.
The stripes were all topstitched on, creating the effect of wrinkled sheets while playing into the pyjama/bedding theme.
